Trusted Chimney & Fireplace Service for Cleveland, Tennessee
If you live in Cleveland, you know how magical it is, especially in the fall when the leaves turn and bring cooler temperatures. But before you use your fireplace, you need to have a trusted chimney sweep who serves the greater Cleveland area. Chimney Solutions serves homeowners in Southeastern Tennessee, just like you.
Why Use a Professional Chimney Sweep in Cleveland?
There are a number of reasons why you should use a qualified chimney sweep to maintain your chimney and fireplace:
Training - Education is vital to understand the anatomy of a chimney and hearth in order to identify issues and perform proper maintenance. Our chimney sweeps are certified by the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA), the National Fireplace Institute (NFI), and OSHA. We are committed to keeping our chimney sweeps abreast of the latest advances in chimney care through continuing education.
Experience - Our chimney sweeps spent hundreds of hours training on the job to experience the various issues with chimneys and become proficient in their care.
Safety - Not only could you damage your fireplace or chimney while trying to maintain it yourself, but you could also injure yourself.
The Benefits of Using a Chimney Sweep Service
Better Air Quality - We will remove creosote buildup, which not only has a bad smell but is a potential fire hazard and blockage that could redirect smoke into your house.
Longevity - The lifespan of your chimney will be much longer when the required service is performed. If things such as water infiltrating the structure of your chimney are caught early they can be kept from becoming an expensive problem.
Chimney Inspections in the Cleveland Area
We will inspect your chimney for any signs of needed repairs and give you a written estimate explaining what steps will be taken to fix your chimney. We use three levels of inspection:
Level One
A Level One is a basic chimney inspection recommended for chimneys that have yet to be altered and are frequently used. Our chimney sweeps inspect your chimney's exterior and interior for evidence of deterioration and blockages. We will also evaluate your chimney's overall strength and stability and recommend any necessary repairs.
Level Two
A Level Two inspection includes everything in Level One, but we recommend a Level Two chimney inspection when a modification has been made, like going from a wood-burning fireplace to gas, or an earthquake or lightning strike may have damaged the chimney. If necessary, we will inspect the chimney's interior, the attic, and the crawl space as part of the inspection.
Level Three
A Level Three inspection is the most exhaustive. It's needed if you think there may be a significant problem, such as evidence of a chimney fire, stains from leaks, or a shifted or crumbling chimney. Level Three inspections are usually only required in the most severe of cases.
We will recommend one of the following types of repairs if needed:
Tuckpointing - Tuckpointing (also known as repointing) is a repair where worn mortar is replaced to strengthen the chimney's joints and refresh the chimney's aesthetics.
Chimney Crown Repair - If your chimney's crown has any damage such as a crack due to water damage, a falling limb or other debris, we will repair the damaged area to protect your chimney.
Rebuilding a Collapsed Chimney - If your chimney has not been inspected regularly then early signs of its degradation could be missed by the untrained eye and lead to its ultimate collapse. Depending on how extensive the damage is, your chimney will require either a partial or full repair.
